Regular Season Round 61: Toronto R. - Dallas M. 110-107

Date: December 22, 2019
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Raptors as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Raptors edged their close opponent Mavericks in Toronto 110-107. Raptors made 26-of-31 free shots (83.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Kyle Lowry (183-86, college: Villanova) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (201-95, college: Arizona) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Jalen Brunson (190-96, college: Villanova) produced 21 points and 9 assists and Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (221-95) added 19 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Raptors and five Mavericks players scored in double figures. Mavericks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Raptors (21-8) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Miami Heat. Mavericks at the other side keep the second place with ten games lost. Mavericks will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Raptors will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Pacers in Indianapolis.
