Date: December 22, 2019
An exciting game was played in Boston. Third ranked Celtics faced their biggest opponent Hornets. Host Celtics (20-7) smashed guests from Charlotte (13-20) 119-93. Celtics outrebounded Hornets 57-27 including a 47-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Celtics made 9 blocks. Forward Jayson Tatum (203-98, college: Duke) fired a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jaylen Brown (201-96, college: California) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Celtics. They maintain third place with 20-7 record having just one point less than leader Toronto R. Hornets lost their third game in a row. They keep the second position with 20 games lost.
