Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Kleb Ferrara (8-6) defeated on the road 14th ranked Orzinuovi (2-12) 93-89 on Sunday. Orzinuovi was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Swiss power forward Patrick Baldassarre (200-86, agency: Players Group) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Folarin Campbell (193-86, college: GMU) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Point guard Marco Perin (185-93) replied with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian forward Christian Mekowulu (206-95, college: Texas A&M) added 17 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks in the effort for Orzinuovi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kleb Ferrara maintains sixth position in A2 with 8-6 record. Newly promoted Orzinuovi keeps the fourteenth place with 12 games lost. Kleb Ferrara will face league's leader Basket RAV in Ravenna in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
