Very important is a road loss of third ranked Rishon (7-3) against tenth ranked Ironi Nahariya (5-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Rishon was defeated by Ironi Nahariya in a tough game in Nahariya 114-118. Ironi Nahariya made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Point guard Dominic Waters (185-86, college: Portland St., agency: Octagon Europe) notched 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Tony Gaffney (206-84, college: UMass, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Even 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds by guard Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB) did not help to save the game for Rishon. Forward Johnathan Williams-III (206-95, college: Gonzaga, agency: Wasserman) added 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Four Ironi Nahariya and five Rishon players scored in double figures. Ironi Nahariya moved-up to seventh place. Rishon at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Ironi Nahariya will play against higher ranked Maccabi Haifa (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rishon will play against the league's second-placed Hapoel Jerusalem having rather not much hope for a victory.
