Regular Season Round 24: Kanazawa - Tokyo CR 82-84

There was no surprise in Ishikawa where 12th ranked Kanazawa (4-20) was edged by tenth ranked Tokyo CR (8-17) 84-82 on Sunday. Kanazawa was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Tenyoku You (194-88) who scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) who recorded 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Daichi Tomioka (165-95) added 17 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively. Four Kanazawa players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Tokyo CR maintains tenth position with 8-17 record. Kanazawa lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Tokyo CR will face higher ranked Aisin AW (#3) in Aichi in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kanazawa will play on the road against Saga B. (#4) and hope to win that game.
