Regular Season Round 12: Larissa BC - AEK 76-86

Date: December 22, 2019
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked AEK (8-4) won against on the road bottom-ranked Larissa BC (3-9) 86-76 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by AEK. Larissa BC was better in fourth quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and international Linos-Spyridon Chrysikopoulos (206-92) who added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Terell Parks (205-91, college: W.Illinois) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Nontas Papantoniou (192-90) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AEK have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Peristeri GS. Newly promoted Larissa BC dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. AEK will face Ionikos Nikaias (#5) at home in the next round. Larissa BC will play against the league's second-placed Promitheas (#2) in Patras and hope to win that game.
