Regular Season Round 14: Omnia Basket - Vigevano 65-74

There was a minor upset in Pavia where 5th ranked Omnia Basket (8-5) was defeated by seventh ranked Vigevano (8-6) 74-65 on Sunday. Omnia Basket was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Giacomo Filippini (204-91) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Giacomo DellAgnello (199-94) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Mattia Venucci (188-90) responded with 21 points and guard Ferdinando Nasello (195-95) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Omnia Basket's coach Massimiliano Baldiraghi tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vigevano have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with Lecco. Loser Omnia Basket keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Vigevano will face LTC Sangiorg. (#13) in San Giorgio in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Omnia Basket will play on the road against the league's leader Tessilform Bernareggio (#1) and hope to win that game.
