Regular Season Round 61: Milwaukee B. - Indiana P 117-89
Date: December 22, 2019
An exciting game was played in Milwaukee. First ranked Bucks faced their biggest opponent Pacers. Host Bucks (27-4) smashed guests from Indianapolis (20-10) 117-89. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Pacers. They outrebounded Pacers 61-48 including 16 on the offensive glass. Bucks looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bucks made 9 blocks. Greek-Nigerian swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo (211-94, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 19 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and point guard George Hill (190-86, college: IUPUI) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Lithuanian-American power forward Domantas Sabonis (209-96, college: Gonzaga) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Malcolm Brogdon (196-92, college: Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bucks. They maintain first place with 27-4 record. Loser Pacers keep the second position with ten games lost. Bucks will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pacers will play against the league's leader Raptors and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
