Very predictable result when second ranked Xinjiang FT (15-4) won against 16th ranked Sharks (7-13) in Urumqi 106-97 on Sunday. Xinjiang FT looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for American point guard Kay Felder (175-95, college: Oakland) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international Abudurexiti Abudushalamu (203-96) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 28 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Ray McCallum (190-91, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Wasserman) added 17 points in the effort for Sharks. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Xinjiang FT have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-4 record having four points less than leader Guangdong ST. Loser Sharks dropped to the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Xinjiang FT will face Beijing Ducks (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
