Very important is a home loss of third ranked Vera (5-5) against eleventh ranked Mgzavrebi (3-7) on Sunday night. Host Vera was defeated by Mgzavrebi in 87-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vera. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Darell Combs (188-93, college: IUPUI) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Taj Spencer (201-93, college: CBU) accounted for 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Center Wendell Lewis (208-89, college: Alabama St.) came up with 27 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Brandon Sly (178-96, college: Adams St.) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Vera in the defeat. Four Vera players scored in double figures. Mgzavrebi moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Tskhum-Abkhazeti. Newly promoted Vera dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Rustavi and Kutaisi.
