Regular Season Round 11: Cactus Tbilisi - Dinamo Tbilisi 77-79

A very interesting game took place in Tbilisi. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 9th ranked Cactus Tbilisi (4-6) to fifth ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (6-4) 79-77 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cactus Tbilisi. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But Cactus Tbilisi won second period 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Cedric Council (203-97, college: Coppin St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. International point guard Luka Bulashvili (192-98) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Council is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Dinamo Tbilisi's coach Muhammed Muya Tachi allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Montenegrin power forward Zoran Vilotijevic (206-90) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and American forward Justin Everett (206-96, college: Humboldt St.) added 16 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dinamo Tbilisi moved-up to second place, which they share with Batumi and Olimpi. Cactus Tbilisi at the other side dropped to the eighth position with six games lost.
