No shocking result in a game in Detroit where second ranked 76ers (22-10) defeated 4th ranked Pistons (11-20) 125-109 on Monday. They outrebounded Pistons 48-30 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 76ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when 76ers made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was Australian point guard Ben Simmons (208-96, college: LSU) who had a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 17 assists. Tobias Harris (206-92, college: Tennessee) chipped in 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Center Andre Drummond (208-93, college: UConn) produced 27 points and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and guard Derrick Rose (190-88, college: Memphis) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. 76ers keep a position of league leader, which they share with LA Clippers. Pistons lost fifth consecutive game.
