Rather expected game when 17th ranked Saint-Quentin (3-9) was defeated at home by fourteenth ranked ALM Evreux (5-7) 104-100. The winners were led by American point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi) who scored that evening 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and DR Congolese-Belgian power forward Ruphin Kayembe (201-92) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds by American-Mali point guard Drake Reed (194-87, college: Austin Peay, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Saint-Quentin. Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89, college: Windsor) added 19 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin's coach Thomas Giorguitti tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. ALM Evreux moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Aix-Maurienne and Gries/Oberhoffen. Newly promoted Saint-Quentin keeps the seventeenth position with nine games lost. ALM Evreux's next round opponent will be higher ranked Denain Voltaire (#9) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Saint-Quentin will play against the league's leader ADA Blois (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
