Bottom-ranked Hasharon managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak on Tuesday night. This time newly promoted Hasharon outleveled tenth-ranked Maccabi Raanana in Ramat Hasharon 96-72. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 24-point difference suggests that Hasharon is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Maccabi Raanana's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hasharon made 8 blocks. American forward Tyrell Nelson (201-95, college: Gardner-Webb) had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Dorian Pinson (196-96, college: Lincoln Memorial) chipped in 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Larry Anderson (195-89, college: LBSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and Uruguayan forward Uriel Trocki (201-96) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Hasharon maintains fourteenth position with 2-8 record. Maccabi Raanana lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. Hasharon will face higher ranked H.Haifa (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
