Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Doha: Al Ahli (#5) and Qatar Sports Club (#2). Qatar Sports Club was defeated at home 71-85 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Qatar Sports Club. Al Ahli dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Qatar Sports Club's 36. They outrebounded Qatar Sports Club 51-31 including 36 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was guard Louis Munks (190-90, college: PVAMU, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Jeff Newberry (188-92, college: Oklahoma St.) chipped in 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Four Al Ahli players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jonathan Lee (188-90, college: Northeastern) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Kevin Bracy-Davis (201-95, college: Davis & Elkins) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Al Ahli (4-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with Qatar Club and Al Wakrah. Al Ahli's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena .
