Regular Season Round 11: Rishon - H.Jerusalem 65-73

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rishon Le-Zion. Second ranked Hapoel Jerusalem faced 3rd placed Rishon. Guests from Jerusalem (10-1) defeated host Rishon (8-4) 73-65. Hapoel Jerusalem looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard JCovan Brown (188-90, college: Texas) who scored 17 points and 5 assists. Nigerian power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Five Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach David-Oded Kattache used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward James Kelly (201-93, college: Marshall, agency: Inception Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Hapoel Jerusalem have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-1 record having just three points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Rishon at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem are looking forward to face Beer Sheva (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rishon will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
