No shocking result in a game when fourteenth ranked Trento (6-8) smashed at home 16th ranked Trieste (3-11) 80-53 on Thursday. It was a great shooting night for Trento especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. It was a great evening for international swingman Alessandro Gentile (201-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Rashard Kelly (203-95, college: Wichita St.) helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Trento players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) with 11 points and 7 rebounds and forward Matteo Da-Ros (204-89) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trento moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Reggio Emilia and Treviso. Trieste lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 11 games lost. Trento will meet higher ranked Openjobmetis VA (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trieste will play against Fortitudo BO (#6) and hope to secure a win.
