Regular Season Round 9: Ramat Hasharon - Ashdod 85-93

An interesting game for Ashdod (7-1) which played road game in Hasharon against 4th placed Ramat Hasharon (5-4). Second ranked Ashdod managed to get a 8-point victory 93-85. Ashdod outrebounded Ramat Hasharon 42-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. American forward Crystal Bradford (183-93, college: Cent Michigan) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and international forward Drew Edelman (193, college: UCSB) chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Ashdod's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-95, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) with 28 points and 8 assists and the other American import center Khadijiah Cave (190-95, college: Baylor) scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. Four Ramat Hasharon players scored in double figures. Ashdod have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Ramat Hasharon lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Ashdod will play against M.Haifa (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ramat Hasharon will play against the league's second-placed Maccabi Ramat Gan (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
