There was no surprise when 12th ranked Treviso (6-8) was crushed at home by second ranked Sassari (11-3) 101-79 on Friday. Sassari made 31-of-36 free shots (86.1 percent) during the game, while Treviso only scored seven points from the stripe. Sassari shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was a great evening for Canadian forward Dyshawn Pierre (198-93, college: Dayton) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. Croatian center Miro Bilan (213-89, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Sassari players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Polish guard David Logan (182-82, college: Indianapolis) with 19 points and 9 assists and American forward Jordan Parks (201-94, college: NC Central, agency: Inception Sports) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sassari have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-3 record behind leader Virtus BO. Newly promoted Treviso keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. They share it with Reggio Emilia and Trento.
