Regular Season Round 19: Umea - Jamtland 101-82

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Umea (4-13) crushed at home 7th ranked KFUM Jamtland (5-12) 101-82 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Umea. KFUM Jamtland was better in fourth quarter 28-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Umea forced 20 KFUM Jamtland turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Rodney Williams (201-93, college: Drexel) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Nathan Dawit (192-94) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Five Umea players scored in double figures. Umea's coach Jesper Gustavsson used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-French forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Justin Gordon (198-93, college: Wofford) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for KFUM Jamtland. Umea moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Nassjo. KFUM Jamtland lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. Umea will face higher ranked BC Lulea (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
