Regular Season Round 13: Vichy Clermont - Antibes 99-101

Important game to mention about took place in Vichy. Eleventh ranked Olympique Antibes (6-6) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging higher ranked JA Vichy (7-6) 101-99 on Friday evening. Olympique Antibes looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for Croatian point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his seven free throws). American-Nigerian guard Zaid Hearst (194-92, college: Quinnipiac) contributed with 24 points for the winners. David Denave (193-85) answered with 19 points and 7 assists and naturalized Ivorian center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valpo) added 24 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) in the effort for JA Vichy. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JA Vichy's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Olympique Antibes. They moved-up to tenth place. Loser JA Vichy dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Olympique Antibes will face bottom-ranked Poitiers (#18) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
