Very important is a road loss of second ranked Pacers (21-12) against fifth ranked Pelicans (9-24) on Saturday night. Visiting Pacers were crushed by Pelicans in New Orleans 120-98. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Pelicans looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Brandon Ingram (206-97, college: Duke) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Point guard Jrue Holiday (193-90, college: UCLA) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists. Five Pelicans players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian-American power forward Domantas Sabonis (209-96, college: Gonzaga) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Aaron Holiday (185-96, college: UCLA) added 25 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pelicans maintains fifth position with 9-24 record, which they share with New York K. Loser Pacers keep the second place with 12 games lost. Pelicans will meet at home league's leader Rockets in the next day and it may be quite challenging game. Pacers will have a break next day.
