Regular Season Round 66: Chicago B. - Atlanta H. 116-81
Date: December 28, 2019
Not a big story in a game in Chicago where 5th ranked Hawks (6-27) were rolled over by third ranked Bulls (13-20) 116-81 on Saturday. Bulls forced 19 Hawks turnovers and outrebounded them 51-39 including 38 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Finnish Lauri Markkanen (216-97, college: Arizona) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Zach LaVine (196-95, college: UCLA) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Bulls players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was U.S. Virgin Islands-American John Collins (208-97, college: Wake Forest) with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Ukrainian center Alex Len (216-93, college: Maryland) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bulls maintains third position with 13-20 record having eight points less than leader Philadelphia 76. Hawks lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 27 games lost.
