Regular Season Round 29: Shinshu BW - FE Nagoya 86-68

The game between Top Four teams took place in Nagano. First ranked host Shinshu BW (22-5) defeated 3rd placed FE Nagoya (15-14) 86-68. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). His fellow American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Yasuyuki Miyazaki (170-86) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shinshu BW have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-5 record. FE Nagoya lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with 14 games lost. They share it with Ehime OV. Shinshu BW will again meet at home FE Nagoya (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. FE Nagoya will have a break next round.
