There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Kouvot (10-11) beat on the road 6th ranked BC Nokia (10-10) 77-68 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 24-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Derrick Barden-Jr (196-92, college: N.Colorado) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Duke Shelton (208-95, college: Tampa) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Ladarius Tabb (197-93, college: AAMU) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Demarcus Holland (193-94, college: Texas) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for BC Nokia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kouvot maintains eighth position with 10-11 record. BC Nokia at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Kataja. Kouvot are looking forward to face league's leader Seagulls in Helsinki in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BC Nokia will play on the road against Ura Basket (#10) in Kaarina and is hoping to win this game.
