Regular Season Round 29: Kumamoto V. - Tokyo Z 70-82

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Kumamoto V. (10-19) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Tokyo Z (9-20) 82-70 on Saturday. American forward Kyle Casey (201-90, college: Harvard) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Kotaro Hisaoka (180-97) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Tokyo Z's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists. Tokyo Z maintains fifth place with 9-20 record which they share with defeated Kumamoto V. Kumamoto V. lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 19 games lost. Tokyo Z will have a break next round. Kumamoto V. will play again at home against Tokyo Z (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
