No shocking result in a game when second ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (10-1) defeated at home 5th ranked Hapoel Holon (5-6) 91-84. They outrebounded Hapoel Holon 38-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Troy Caupain (193-95, college: Cincinnati) came up with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Marcus Foster (190-95, college: Creighton) added 23 points and 4 assists respectively for Hapoel Holon in the defeat. Five Hapoel Jerusalem and four Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Hapoel Jerusalem. They maintain second place with 10-1 record having just three points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Holon at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem's next round opponent will be Beer Sheva (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Holon will play against Hapoel Eilat and hope to win that game.
