Regular Season Round 29: Sendai 89ers - Yamagata 69-54

B2 League top team - Sendai 89ers (20-9) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Yamagata (7-22) 69-54. Sendai 89ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) stepped up and scored 18 points for the winners and his fellow American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 6 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Stephen Hurt (211-93, college: Kansas St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Mitsutaka Izawa (194-93) scored 10 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Sendai 89ers. They maintain first place with 20-9 record. Yamagata lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 22 games lost. Sendai 89ers will face again Yamagata (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
