Very expected game in Venezia where bottom-ranked Marghera (0-13) was defeated by eleventh ranked Milano (6-7) 64-54 on Saturday. Power forward Stefania Guarneri (182-95) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Susanna Toffali (170-98) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) during the contest. Four Milano players scored in double figures. Naturalized Argentinian Gisel Villarruel (173-95) responded with 19 points and 5 assists and forward Chiara Camporeale (181-1) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. Marghera's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Milano moved-up to tenth place in A2. Loser Marghera still closes the standings with 13 games lost.
