Regular Season Round 14: San Giovanni - Faenza 62-67

Serie A2 top team - Faenza (10-2) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked San Giovanni (8-5) in Valdarno 67-62. Guard Greta Brunelli (176-90) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Federica Franceschelli (180-97) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Guard Nadia Calamai (172-86) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Ada De-Pasquale (173-95) scored 16 points. San Giovanni's coach Giustino Altobelli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Faenza maintains first position in A2 with 10-2 record. Loser San Giovanni dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Faenza will face Livorno (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. San Giovanni will play against Pistoia (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
