Regular Season Round 15: Palma - Forca Lleida 73-83

The game between third ranked Palma (10-5) and sixteenth ranked Lleida Basquet (5-10) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Palma was defeated by Lleida Basquet in S'Arenal 73-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Palma. Lleida Basquet shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. It was a good game for Bahamas center Shaquille Cleare (203-93, college: Texas) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American guard Steven Santa-Ana (193-96, college: Elon, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 28 points and 4 steals (perfect behind the arc making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Bosnian-Croatian forward Boris Barac (205-92, agency: Interperformances) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Swedish Johan Lofberg (199-95) added 15 points in the effort for Palma. Palma's coach Felix Alonso rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Lleida Basquet moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Oviedo. Palma at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Breogan and Coruna. Lleida Basquet is looking forward to face higher ranked Leche Rio Breogan (#4) in Lugo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Palma will play on the road against Almansa and is hoping to win this game.
