Regular Season Round 30: Shinshu BW - FE Nagoya 79-58

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nagano. First ranked Shinshu BW faced 3rd ranked FE Nagoya. Host Shinshu BW (23-5) smashed guests from Nagoya (15-15) 79-58. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) with 6 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Edward Yamamoto (173-86) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinshu BW have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-5 record. FE Nagoya lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third place with 15 games lost. Shinshu BW will meet Fukushima (#5) on the road in the next round. FE Nagoya will play against Koshigaya A. and hope to secure a win.
