Regular Season Round 30: Aomori W. - Ehime OV 78-82

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aomori. Third ranked Orange Vikings faced one of their biggest challengers Aomori W.. Guests from Matsuyama (16-14) defeated host Aomori W. (12-17) 82-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Aomori W.. Orange Vikings made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. American-Irish forward Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 21 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. American swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and South Sudanese-American forward Angelo Chol (206-93, college: San Diego St.) added 22 points and 19 rebounds in the effort for Aomori W.Four Aomori W. players scored in double figures. Aomori W.'s coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Orange Vikings maintains third position with 16-14 record having five points less than leader Shinshu BW. Aomori W. at the other side keeps the fourth place with 17 games lost. Orange Vikings will play against league's second-placed Kagawa FA in Takamatsu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aomori W. will play on the road against Tokyo Z and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
