Regular Season Round 26: Iwate Big Bulls - Tokyo HT 69-79

Top ranked Iwate Big Bulls (21-5) recorded its fifth loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Tokyo HT (13-14) 79-69. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Iwate Big Bulls. The best player for the winners was guard Hiroya Ogane (180-89) who scored 28 points and 6 assists. American center Shaquille Morris (203-94, college: Wichita St.) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Kohei Kawashima (170-98) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tokyo HT maintains seventh position with 13-14 record. Iwate Big Bulls at the other side still keep top place with five games lost. Tokyo HT are looking forward to face Shizuoka (#9) at home in the next round. Iwate Big Bulls will have a break next round.
