Undefeated leader Maccabi T-A delivered the twelfth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Beer Sheva (4-7) 80-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Beer Sheva. Maccabi T-A forced 19 Beer Sheva turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Jake Cohen (208-90, college: Davidson) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. American Quincy Acy (201-90, college: Baylor) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. American Spencer Weisz (193-95, college: Princeton) responded with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Amit Simhon (198-89) scored 16 points. Beer Sheva's coach Rami Hadar rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Maccabi T-A. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-0 record. Loser Beer Sheva dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Maccabi T-A will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Beer Sheva will play against the league's second-placed Hapoel Jerusalem (#2) and hope to secure a win.
