No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Leyma Basquet (10-5) beat 10th ranked Caceres Basket (7-8) in Coruna 88-77. Leyma Basquet shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian guard Augustas Peciukevicius (192-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. American-Cape Verdean point guard Jeffrey Xavier (189-85, college: Providence, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Arkeem Joseph (206-94, college: Texas A&M Int.) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and point guard Ricardo Uriz (188-80) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively. Caceres Basket at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Leyma Basquet's next round opponent will be Ourense (#8) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Caceres Basket will play against CB Granada and hope to win that game.
