Rather predictable result when second ranked Boras Basket (15-2) smashed at home 5th ranked Sodertalje Kings (10-6) 81-62 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Boras Basket. Sodertalje Kings was better in fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boras Basket made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Icelandic point guard Elvar Fridriksson (180-94, college: Barry) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 assists and forward William Gutenius (205-92) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Boras Basket's coach Henrik Svensson used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Eric Adams (202-95, college: Samford) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and forward Alexander Larsson (208-95, college: UC Riverside, agency: Duran International) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Sodertalje Kings players scored in double figures. Boras Basket have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-2 record behind leader Koping Stars. Defending champion Sodertalje Kings keep the fifth place with six games lost. Boras Basket will face league's leader Koping Stars on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sodertalje Kings will play against Djurgarden (#10) in Stockholm and hope to win that game.
