There was no surprise when 14th ranked Hasharon (2-9) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked H.Haifa (7-4) 93-80. H.Haifa players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for forward Rakeem Buckles (201-90, college: FIU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Jason Siggers (191-85, college: Albany) accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four H.Haifa players scored in double figures. Guard Dorian Pinson (196-96, college: Lincoln Memorial) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Tyrell Nelson (201-95, college: Gardner-Webb) added 26 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Hasharon in the defeat. H.Haifa have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kiryat Ata. Newly promoted Hasharon stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. H.Haifa's next round opponent will be H.Ramat Gan (#11) in Givataim and are hoping to win another game. Hasharon will play on the road against the league's leader Afula and hope to win that game.
