Very expected game when 9th ranked Beer Sheva (4-8) lost at home to second ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (11-1) 94-86. Hapoel Jerusalem shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Hapoel Jerusalem had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Hapoel Jerusalem brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Beer Sheva was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Five Hapoel Jerusalem and four Beer Sheva players scored in double figures. Beer Sheva's coach Rami Hadar rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Jerusalem have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-1 record behind leader Maccabi T-A. Beer Sheva at the other side dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Ironi Nahariya (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Beer Sheva will play against Hapoel Eilat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
