The game in Tampere was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked HNMKY (8-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Pyrinto Ak.A (5-7). HNMKY did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-68. Pyrinto Ak.A was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 40-20 second half run of HNMKY. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by forward Sakari Salminen (200-87) who scored that evening 17 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-81) supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Pyrinto Ak.A at the other side keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. HNMKY will play against Oulun NMKY (#5) at home in the next round.
