Regular Season Round 1: Brescia - Sassari 54-66

There was a minor upset when Brescia (0-1) lost at home to Sassari (2-0) 66-54 on Thursday. Sassari forced 19 Brescia turnovers. It was a very good performance for naturalized North Macedonian Andrej Jakimovski (200-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. North Macedonian Marko Milovanovikj (196-2) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Luca Dalco (186-1) answered with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and Croatian Stefan Galic (201-2) added 8 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Brescia. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sassari will face Pistoia (#5) on the road in the next round. Brescia will play against Reggio Emilia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
