Everything went according to plan when Reggio Emilia (2-0) beat on the road Brescia (0-2) 70-66 on Friday. Reggio Emilia forced 20 Brescia turnovers and had a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Ibrahima Cham (205-3) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Mouhamet Diouf (206-1) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Luca Dalco (186-1) responded with 21 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and Giacomo Veronesi (185-1) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Reggio Emilia will face Virtus (#3) in Bologna in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Brescia will play on the road against Pistoia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
