Very predictable result in Bydgoszcz where third ranked Start (11-4) smashed 12th ranked Enea Astoria (5-10) 104-75 on Saturday. Start shot 60.7 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Start especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Latvian Martins Laksa (200-90) who scored 23 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Four Start players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Mateusz Zebski (190-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the former international swingman Michal Chylinski (196-86, agency: Interperformances) added 17 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Start maintains third place with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Stelmet Enea, which they share with Anwil. Enea Astoria lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with GTK Gliwice. Start will meet league's leader Stelmet Enea BC in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Enea Astoria will play against BM Slam Stal (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
