The game in Renova supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Saga B. (18-9) played at the court of 8th ranked Kagoshima (12-14). Saga B. smashed Kagoshima 104-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kagoshima. They outrebounded Kagoshima 50-33 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saga B. players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) helped adding 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Yates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Saga B. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Shelton Boykin (198-92, college: Angelo St.) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saga B. have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Newly promoted Saga B. maintains fourth place with 18-9 record. Kagoshima at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Saga B. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kagoshima will play again at home against Saga B. (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
