Regular Season Round 15: Milano - Vicenza 73-52

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Vicenza (1-13) was crushed on the road by tenth ranked Milano (7-7) 73-52 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Susanna Toffali (170-98) who scored 18 points. Power forward Stefania Guarneri (182-95) chipped in 5 points and 15 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Federica Monaco (175-93) who recorded 14 points and 7 rebounds and Beatrice Olajide added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Milano moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Vicenza keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Milano will face higher ranked Alpo VF (#3) in Verona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vicenza will play at home against Marghera (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
