Regular Season Round 15: Lanzarote - Pozuelo 85-96

Everything could happen in Arrecife at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Pozuelo and 15th ranked Lanzarote had identical 3-11 record. But Lanzarote was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Pozuelo 96-85 on Saturday night. Pozuelo dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Lanzarote's 34 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Alberto Arias (188-89) who scored 23 points. Center Adrian Escribano (206-94) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Pozuelo and five Lanzarote players scored in double figures. Pozuelo maintains fourteenth place in Group B with 4-11 record. Lanzarote lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. Pozuelo will face Aguimes (#16) on the road in the next round. Lanzarote will play against Dist.Olimpico in Madrid and hope to win that game.
