There was no surprise when 11th ranked Marbella (5-11) lost to ninth ranked Moron (7-9) in Morón de la Frontera 81-89 on Saturday. Moron shot 25 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Marbella only scored seven points from the stripe. Marbella was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for British Josh Steel (194-97, college: Duquesne) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Mali-American power forward Nouhoum Bocoum (208-92, college: Arkansas St.) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Moron players scored in double figures. American guard Martyce Kimbrough (185-96, college: Findlay, OH, agency: Duran International) replied with 20 points and Senegalese center Bruno Diatta (208-96) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Marbella. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Moron moved-up to eighth place in Silver. Newly promoted Marbella keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Moron will face league's second-placed Juaristi ISB in Azpeitia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Marbella will play at home against Zamorano (#7) and hope to win that game.
