Regular Season Round 15: Koscian - Pleszew 76-93

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Pleszew (7-7) won against on the road 5th ranked Koscian (8-5) 93-76 on Saturday. It was a great evening for point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 9 assists. Power forward Przemyslaw Galewski (199-91) helped adding 15 points and 14 rebounds. Five Pleszew players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Mateusz Kaczmarek (187-97) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Pawel Ciazkowski (190-86) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Pleszew. They maintain seventh place in Group D with 7-7 record. Loser Koscian keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Pleszew will face league's second-placed Sudety in Jelenia Gora in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Koscian will play on the road against the league's leader Slask 2 Wroclaw where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
