Regular Season Round 27: Saitama B. - Tokyo CR 81-79

Tenth-ranked Tokyo CR (8-20) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Saitama Broncos (14-12) on Saturday. Saitama Broncos managed to secure only two-point victory 81-79. However their fans expected much easier game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Saitama Broncos made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) accounted for 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winning side. Saitama Broncos' coach Thomas Roijakkers used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: S.Mississippi) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) added 22 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Tokyo CR in the defeat. Saitama Broncos maintains fifth place with 14-12 record. Tokyo CR lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 20 games lost. Saitama Broncos will again meet at home Tokyo CR (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tokyo CR will have a break next round.
