We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Civitanova (6-8) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked San Salvatore (6-7) 77-70 on Saturday. San Salvatore made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. San Salvatore outrebounded Civitanova 49-38 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Giovanna Pertile (182-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Forward Delia Gagliano (180-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds.
